What is Up with MS Office 2013??

Have you ever wondered what Microsoft Office 2013 is? Of course you have. It is that new swag Microsoft has got going. It's supposed to make you hate your current version of office and... Just kidding. So what's neat about 2013 office? PC World( a great site) gave a few pointers but we'll simplify them here in case you, like us, are not that geeky...heehee (REALLY!! we are not as geeky as you Imagine)


Modern Style interface: yeeeeahhh! Office has got that glossy tablet look now. No more will you see annoying shades of colors. it's smooth and makes you wanna touch it even if you are not using a touch screen device.


Start Screens: Yeaaaahhhh mehn!!(Remember usher??) Well we have some smooth start screens now! Remember back in the day when you start up MS Word and BAM!... a blank document shows up? Naaaa.. No more... Now when you open word, you get to see something like this(this is the part I assume your browser can view pictures)

Skydrive Integration: Skydrive is Microsoft's way of saying "we also do this cloud computing thing you know". Office 2013 flows well with skydive so you can back up your files in ... you guessed it... heaven...mean... the cloud.


Syncing Across devices: Once you have your documents in the infamous cloud, you can access it via Office 2013 on your other PCs or Tablet. Isn't that cool? Now you don't have to carry my desktop on your back like I did before...You know you used to do that. You sufferer you!! Now you can spend more money and buy the surface(if you don't know what that is, stop existing please) so you can always have access while on the move.


Touchscreen Use: Oh the big one!! Tooshscreen.. Sorry Touchscreen. There is that 'glossy' thing we talked about. Anyways, Office 2013 is so optimized for touch that you would hate using the keyboard. There are several features on that thing (not the keyboard) that make it much easier to use with a touchscreen device...(Not an iPad... heeehee!)

PDF Editing: Personally, this is why I USE WORD 2013.IT CAN OPEN PDFs WITHOUT CONVERSION!! OH MYYYY GODDD!  and that ain't the coolest part, I can also edit the PDF files and save them back as PDFs  or DOCx files.

I hope this has made you want to go get that 2013 offce. Oh well, let's enjoy it before 2016/2017 shows up and makes 2013 Old...
